Meetings
Auckland in-person meetings are held every Tuesday and every second Thursday evening,
a Sufi Universal Worship Service is held every second Sunday morning.
Online meetings alternate between Monday evening one week, Thursday evening the next.
Northland meetings are held on Wednesday afternoons,
contact secretary@gnosticsociety.co.nz for details.
Newcomers are welcome to attend any service or meeting (except Monday).

Gnostic meeting
every Tuesday evening
Meetings have an emphasis on psychological work as taught by G.I. Gurdjieff and expanded by Abdullah.
Each week a member reports on progress and experience in his/her own work;
this is followed by a discussion of general topics
and a reading from and discussion of one of Abdullah’s books.

Online meeting

Meetings begin with a reading from and discussion of one of Abdullah’s works,
followed by queries from members,
either of a general nature or directly related to their inner work.

Sufi meetings
alternating Thursday evenings
Meetings focus on the study of a spiritual text, alternating each week between an online format
in which the teaching of Hazrat Inayat Khan is discussed, and an in-person meeting
studying the works of another spiritual teacher, at present Jalal ud-Din Rumi.

Sufi Universal Worship Service
every second Sunday morning

Universal Worship, the prayer and meditation service of Hazrat Inayat Khan,
acknowledges the unity of all spiritual teachings with readings on a chosen topic from
Hindu, Buddhist, Zoroastrian, Hebrew, Christian, and Islamic texts, and Hazrat Inayat Khan’s Gayan.
The main topic is illustrated with stories that introduce children to the ideas.
